Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory - Building 33

This is a new research facility at LBNL. It has three stories with rooftop mechanical equipment and a remote central plant that required coordination of underground trenching with other trades. We installed an Automated Logic control system for Airco Mechanical to control the following mechanical equipment:

·      4 air handlers

·      19 exhaust fans

·      6 blowers

·      6 AC units

·      12 pumps

·      2 boilers

·      1 heat exchanger

·      2 chillers

·      2 cooling towers

·      121 VAV’s

·      16 fume hoods

This was a challenging but successful project.
