Abbvie West Coast Oncology Center

This project is a 13-story, 480,000-square-foot pharmaceutical research and development laboratory facility located in South San Francisco, CA. This was a tenant improvement build out. The core and shell infrastructure had already been completed during a previous phase of construction.

This is a state-of-the-art pharmaceutical research facility with advanced technological applications for climate control, indoor air quality (IAQ), clean rooms, and much more.

We provided the installation and wiring of controls on the following equipment:

  • 261 VAV's with reheated coils
  • 156 exhaust VAV's
  • 49 fan-powered reheat boxes
  • 22 fan coils
  • 52 fume hoods
  • 25 fast-acting supply valves for lab applications
  • 9 fast-acting exhaust valves for lab applications
  • 17 other lab valves
  • 370 thermostats
  • 12 control panels, 12 UPS backup systems, and 26 transformer panels

We provided more than 6,000 feet of conduit and over 78,000 feet of control cabling.

We installed specialty controls for:

  • Space static pressure controls
  • Autoclaves
  • Oxygen depletion detection
  • Lighting control integration
  • Fire alarm integration

For this project, we installed an Alerton control system for Syserco. Our teams worked very closely together to bring this project in on time and on budget. It was a successful endeavor for both parties.
